"Pop-Up" Shops
When I was first pondering the thoughts of my new business I knew I wanted an online shop full of home decor items that reflect my simple farmhouse style but I also wanted a way to offer vintage and antique finds to my customers.
This is when I decided to offer my exclusive one-of-a-kind items at "Pop-Up" shops. What is a "Pop-Up" shop many of you may be wondering. Well a "Pop-Up" shop is exactly what it sounds like- you literally pop up a shop. Many larger businesses, festivals and markets offer exclusive times for small businesses to come out and set up a booth and sell their products.
For now I am going to try to "Pop-Up" shop every other month or so. I will announce the dates on my social media account and the home page of my website in the event section.
Items in my "Pop-Up" shop will be one of a kind and inventory will constantly change. Here is what you can expect to find in Plum Pretty's "Pop-Up" shop- customer painted furniture, farm style tables, light fixtures, milk glass, mason jars, old bottles, shutters, mantles, wooden crates, frames, metal buckets, old windows, industrial pieces, and a wide variety of unique finds.
The Liberty Antiques Festival
The Liberty Antiques Festival is held twice a year- once in the spring and fall. This is a well known Antiques festival and people travel from all over to attend. More than 400 vendors pack the 100 acre Pike family farm. The family farm is the perfect venue for such an event. The barns and silos provide a perfect view while picking and digging through antiques and treasures.
I have attended the festival the past two seasons and I literally spent all day rummaging through and at the end of the day I still found things I hadn't seen earlier. A lot of my favorite finds have came from the Liberty Antiques Festival.
