Well another Christmas has came and gone- it truly felt like a magical dream. It came and went way too fast. I mean it's like I blinked my eyes and it was all over. Christmas is my favorite holiday and I love everything about it. I love how the smell of pine reminds me of my childhood, hunting for the perfect tree with my family. I can smell the sweet scent of pine and instantly be transported back to the magical days of Christmas as a child. The warm and cozy feeling you get while snuggled up on the couch with the glow of christmas lights on the tree and sugar cookies baking in the oven. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year.
This year I carried that warm cozy feeling of Christmas into our bedroom. This is the first Christmas our room has been completed and decorated. Last year we still had burnt orange bedding and dark cherry furniture from Austin's college apartment. So this year I decided to go all out and have our very own cozy farmhouse christmas bedroom. I shared the whole decorating process on my Insta Stories. If you happened to catch that craziness you know all about the SAP. Because the white pine garland I used was full of it!! I had it on my hands, my feet, and pretty much everywhere. Thank you to my sweet follower who messaged me about using vegetable oil to get the sap off. Because nobody wants to be like Clark Griswold reading his magazine in bed! You are probably laughing if you know the character and scene I am referring to. AND yes, National Lampoons Christmas Vacation happens to be one of my favorite Christmas movies, my family and I quote it on repeat over the holidays.
So here is a little peek inside our bedroom all decorated for Christmas. I wish I could add a smell feature to the blog, because it smells of Christmas in here. All decor used is linked at bottom of this post.
I have loved having our bedroom decorated for Christmas! At night I just escape to our room, turn the tree lights on, and cuddle up in our flannel sheets. One thing that truly made me so very happy was that Country Living Magazine shared my bedroom on their Instagram account- {See the feature HERE}. This was my first ever big feature and it made this little small time designer so very happy!!
Thank you so much for stopping by today and reading my blog. Be sure to follow me over on FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM for more behind the scenes of this little business I call life. I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and I wish you a happy New Year!!
With love,
