This was Plum Pretty's first time ever attending the Lucketts Spring Market and it was truly amazing! I first learned about Lucketts from reading Miss Mustard Seeds Blog. For years I have followed along as she set up at Lucketts and always wished to attend and shop the market. Never would I have imagined one day I would be there along side her selling at the Lucketts Spring Market.
I actually brought my book that has been sitting on my coffee table since its release and had her sign it for me. Then later Saturday she stopped by my booth to say hello- my day was made! I was finally able to meet the lady who had inspired me so much throughout the years.
So many great vendors filled this show. Loved our neighbor Bucky the deer! Stylish Patina had such a beautiful setup and I loved being their neighbor at the show.
This show brings the best of the best vendors together all in one market. Great music, delicious food, and amazing one of a kind finds. I even found some things to buy for my home.
The preview Friday was beautiful, we could not have hand wrote a forecast more beautiful! Sunny, warm, slight breeze and big white fluffy clouds in the sky. People lined up hours before the show even started!
But that slight breeze blew in the rain for Saturday. However, you would have never of thought the weather was bad because the market was full and busy. Shoppers suited up in their rain suits and boots and stomped through the mud with smiles on their faces.
The market was cut short a day due to excessive mud and ground saturation but this was still one of my best shows. I would have had very little inventory left for Sunday. I know this was an extremely difficult decision for the Luckett ladies to make but they made the best decision possible. Anytime you attend or participate in an outdoor show these are the situations that sometimes happen. God gave us rain and we should be thankful even though it did not come at the most opportune time.
By the end of the day Saturday the parking lots flooded and everyone was getting stuck and the decision was made- no Lucketts Spring Market for Sunday. I am so sorry for those of you who had planned on coming out on Sunday. Just make your list and plan to come next year. Let's all start praying now for beautiful weather.
I am blown away at all the inspiring words I heard from others. Other vendors, customers and my social media followers gave me such sweet compliments on my booth setup for this show. Knowing that I inspire others through my work makes all the hours of prep and setup worth it. One sweet lady left me such a sweet message on Facebook saying, "it's been getting harder and harder to become inspired by people and you def left an impression on me." This sweet message brought tears to my eyes and warmed my heart.
Lucketts Spring Market was one for the books! Thank you to each and every person who stopped by my booth, who commented, and those who help make this dream a business for me! Until next year.....
With love,
